We have previously had a limitation of 1000, when exporting a selection to Excel in 7.Web, using Selection Tasks.

If the customer need to export selections larger than 1000, this can be achieved by adding a configuration item to the web.config.

This section needs to be placed as a child node to the “Clients” section and should look as follows:

<Client>

<add key="ExportPageSize" value="2000" />

</Client>

The default value of this page size is 1000.

Your installation is most likely running a sentry plugin which controls which data you're allowed to see. Since reporter (also in the web client) is using the windows components you need to have both a .net and a com version of the sentry plugin installed. If you're receiving this error the com version of the sentry plugin is missing.

To verify: remove the sentry plugin from the database and try to run the report again.

To fix: you need to install a com version of the sentry plugin on the web server.

IIS 7 on Windows 2008 server will reject any file larger than 30 MB. This is a default limitation of IIS. You can increase the maximum file size by adding the following code to <system.webServer> in the web.config file:

<security>

<requestFiltering>

<requestLimits maxAllowedContentLength=”2000000000″ />

</requestFiltering>

</security>

With the above maxAllowedContentLength, users can upload files that are 2,000,000,000 bytes in size. This setting will work right away without restart IIS services.

Option 2: Go to IIS 7 control panel, under your website look for Request Filtering and then Edit features (on the right), then set Maximum allowed content length to your desired limit. This will add to your Web.config the above lines for you.

There is probably something wrong either in the ODBC or in the "SoReporter.Executer.exe.config" file on the webserver.

You should compare the information in the "SoReporter.Executer.exe.config" with ODBC datasource used for reports.

"SoReporter.Executer.exe.config" can be found in this folder "\SuperOffice 7 Web\SuperOffice\bin\Reporter"

In this example case the name of the ODBC source in the "SoReporter.Executer.exe.config" was wrong.

SuperOffficeTest should have been SuperOfficeTest.

Windows Communication Foundation (WCF) does not allow more than one binding (of same type) for one web-site.

Other reason for the failure can be missing handler for .svc extensions on the SuperOffice IIS folder.

Go to IIS to the directory where SuperOffice Web is installed (usually under Default Web Site – SuperOffice folder). Open Handler Mappings and click "Revert to Parent" link in the Actions menu.

1) This problem can be caused by the mail server connection timing out.

Default mail server timeout in SuperOffice is set to 10 - 15 seconds.

This appears to be to low for some, especially for those running hosted exchange.

To solve this, go to "edit" --> "preferences" --> "e-mail"

http://content.screencast.com/users/mrfrodeberntsen/folders/Snagit/media/717d7d44-4cc8-4055-a616-0549c1446bb7/05.14.2013-09.34.png" style="width: 366px; height: 235px;" />

Here you can specify how many seconds should pass before the connection to the mail server times out.

Set this to 60 seconds

2) This problem can happen when the mail folder names are not set correctly.

-This can be changed by go to the menu 'E-mail\Folder Configuration, where you can check your imap folder names by clicking on add.

-In the dropdown you see all original folder names from your imap provider.

-Now go to E-mail\E-Mail-Options and choose the tab 'folders' where you change the default folder names to the ones according to your imap provider

When selecting this function with the SuperOffice mail client, the e-mail addresses for all members in the selection are added to the URL that triggers the new e-mail message.

Due to limitations in Firefox, Chrome and Safari, the URL can only be approximately 2100 characters, which resembles about 35 to 40 recipients.

If there are more than 2100 characters in the address, you will receive one of the mentioned error messages.

The solution for this is to use Internet Explorer, which does not limit the URL by the amount of characters.

This problem can be caused when the buttons in the navigator pane are located in the lower part of the screen.  This can occur when you have added a few extra buttons in SuperOffice and your screen resolution is to low or when you have set the zoom level of your browser higher than 100%. Any button that is located in the lower part of the navigator pane will become inactive.

To make this buttons active again you need temporally to zoom out your browser screen or when possible increase your screen resolution. You can use the following shortcuts to change the zoom level:

CTRL - Zoom out
CTRL 0 Reset zoom to 100%

You will notice that in the Factory/DynamicLoad section they have prefixed SoMail.dll with a complete path. That means if you chance the location of the website, that dll and all it's dependicies will fail (and that is why you see the warning with Edanmo.OleStorage. Just remove the C:\Program Files\SuperOffice\SuperOffice 7 Web\SuperOffice\bin\ part and it should work.

3) Things to check:

a) Also make sure the identity you specefy in the appSettings section of ~\bin\Reporter\SoReporter.Executer.exe.config contains a valid WINDOWS USERS that have also been added as Associate with report permission and ActiveDirectory Credentials whitin SuperOffice.

b) Run SuperOffice 7 web product configuration again and make sure to turn OFF the option “Encrypt configuration”

c) when you are generating a report, the system tries to log information about it and when this is an undefined or unaccesible area this message comes.

Define a log path in the following file: \SuperOffice\SuperOffice 7 Web\SuperOffice\bin\Reporter\superoffice.ini

[Error]
LogPath=C:\temp\Webreporter.log

d) Delete the entries of batchtask in the superoffice database and restart the batchtask service

Most likely the application pool for our web client is set up to use the wrong version of the .Net framework, or the the .Net framework is not installed correctly and you need to reinstall.

You may have to "white list" the URL of SIX.web to get rid of the problem.

In order to resolve the problem of being logged off when you create a report, on the server you need to check a file.
- Check SuperOffice.ini in SuperOffice Web\BIN\Reporter folder.
- Check if logpath is set.
- If there is logpath set please put the [ERROR] marker before
- If there is not logpath please enter a line at the end of the SuperOffice.ini file:
[ERROR]
logpath=c:\<location to SuperOffice web temp folder>

Ensure the folder you list above has full read/write permissions for the IUSR user. After saving the file restart or use the flush option on the SuperOffice website.

Check the SuperOffice website in Internet Information Server.
Windows Communication Foundation (WCF) does not allow more than one binding (of same type) for one web-site.
In Windows eventviewer you can see this message:

"Exception: System.ServiceModel.ServiceActivationException: The service '/SuperOffice/Services/TrayApp2.svc' cannot be activated due to an exception during compilation.
The exception message is: This collection already contains an address with scheme http. There can be at most one address per scheme in this collection."

Remove bindings of same type, just one is acceptable.

IIS web-site bindings

Other reason for the failure can be missing handler for .svc extensions on the SuperOffice IIS folder.
Go to IIS to the directory where SuperOffice Web is installed (usually under Default Web Site – SuperOffice folder). Open Handler Mappings and click "Revert to Parent" link in the Actions menu.
This will reset the mappings to the same as for the Default Web site where svc handler is correctly defined.

Date format do not depend on regional settings on the client. It depends on what language you use when logging in to web version, and the SERVER's interpretation of that language / culture. I.e. Note - SO.web is logged in on the webserver as the ASPNET user, so it's this users date formatting you need to change.
